01 · Data we collect
Information you provide and limited technical data.
When you email, use WhatsApp, live chat, telephone or a contact link, we may receive your name, contact details, citizenship/location, preferred language, service request, messages and documents you choose to send. For professional services, we may request identity, immigration, company, tax, banking-KYC, property, family or transaction information necessary to assess and perform the engagement.
When you visit the website, hosting and security systems may process IP address, device/browser information, pages requested, timestamps, referring page and error/security logs. Smartsupp may set or read cookies and process chat/usage data according to its own service terms.
02 · Purpose and legal basis
We use data for defined reasons.
- Responding to enquiries and taking steps requested before a service contract
- Entering into and performing a professional-service engagement
- Identity, conflict, fraud, sanctions, KYC or legal-compliance checks where applicable
- Coordinating with authorities, banks, notaries, translators, accountants, lawyers and other providers when authorized or necessary for the service
- Operating, securing and improving the website and communications
- Maintaining accounting, legal and business records and establishing or defending claims
- Sending non-essential marketing only where permitted and with an available opt-out
Depending on the circumstances, processing may rely on your request/contract, consent, a legal obligation or our legitimate interest in secure operations, service quality and claim protection. Where consent is the basis, it may be withdrawn for future processing.
04 · Security and retention
Not forever, and not without safeguards.
We use proportionate organizational and technical controls, restricted access and reputable service providers. No internet or messaging system is completely secure; avoid sending highly sensitive documents before we confirm the appropriate channel.
Enquiries that do not become an engagement are generally retained only as long as needed for follow-up, conflict/fraud prevention and reasonable business records. Client files and transaction/accounting records may be retained for the engagement and the applicable legal, tax, professional-liability or limitation period. Security logs and cookies follow operational/provider retention settings. Data may be kept longer where a dispute, investigation or legal hold requires it.
05 · Your choices and rights
You can ask what is happening with your data.
Subject to Georgian law and applicable exceptions, you may request information about processing; access or a copy; correction, updating or completion; cessation, deletion or destruction; blocking; data portability where applicable; withdrawal of consent; and review of certain automated decisions. You may object to direct marketing at any time.
We may need to verify identity before acting. Some requests can be limited where retention or processing is required by law, protects another person, preserves evidence or is necessary for legal claims. You may also contact the competent Georgian personal-data supervisory authority.
06 · Cookies and external links
Website choices.
Essential storage may support security and basic functionality. Smartsupp and any future analytics or embedded services may use additional storage/cookies. Browser controls can restrict cookies, though live chat or other features may work differently. External sites linked from our guides have their own policies; we do not control them.
07 · Children and sensitive data
Use extra care.
The public website is not directed to children. A parent or legal representative should contact us about a child. Residence, family, health or KYC matters may involve sensitive or special-category information; we request it only when relevant and expect lawful authority to provide information about another person.
